There's a book written in 1928 that holds the secrets to deceptively influencing the masses.
The book is called “Propaganda”.
Written by Edward Bernays -- the king of PR at the time.
And his tactics are pretty clever.
(I’ll get to how this applies to YOUR rei business in a bit)
For example:
When trying to sell pianos to families, instead of trying to convince people that pianos are good… he changed the landscape for pianos and music. He convinced home builders to create “music rooms”. He created competitions for interior designers on which can decorate a music room the best. He convinced pediatricians to tell their patient's parents that classical music is good for the developing brains.
And one the biggest principles to making it all work according to Edward…
… Was repetition of the same or related “theme”.
A repeated message becomes ingrained as “normal”.
And the more “angles” and people it comes from the easier and faster it becomes ingrained.
So how do these “Propaganda” tactics apply to you?
Here’s a list I came up with from my marketing mind:
Increase the frequency of touches
Increase the amount of mediums in your touches
Touches can equal = Valpak mailers, newspaper ads, “I buy houses” pencils donated to schools, Craigslist ads to buy houses, and of course all the digital options
Building and KEEPING good relationships with attorneys (who’ll have distressed seller clients), agents, property managers, and whoever else has contact with potential sellers.
The above marketing examples are NOT for the “direct measurement” folks.
Because if you’re looking to measure the ROI of each of those examples… you probably won’t find an ROI anywhere.
It’s for the ones that understand (or at least accept) the theme of “Propaganda”.
