Some entertaining news… And upsetting to you SF business owners…
San Francisco decides they’d like to be in the landlord business.
Commercial specifically.
So they’ve got a “genius” idea!
To fight off the mass crime and the mass exodus of businesses.
You see, retail shops and offices and sick of the crime. Sick of the high taxes that don’t do anything about the homeless sleeping right in front of their entry door, smash-and-grab criminals or their employees being gawked and groped walking from the car to the front door.
So business owners are leaving in droves.
But SF has a “genius” idea.
(google “Crime-ridden San Francisco seeks to allow lawsuits” for a Yahoo article)
They’re losing money out of the ears from all these taxpayers leaving.
They blame the taxpayers:
“How dare they leave this great city. THEY need to take of the mentally ill criminals and homeless”
So they come up with a proposal to be passed:
“All stores and offices set on leaving have to stay at least 6 months before leaving AND find a new store to replace them or face heavy fines”.
That seems fair enough 🤷🏻♂️.
